Name of the miracle: Stem cells

Scientists participating in the research imitated the development of mammalian embryos in the laboratory environment, and for this, they left 3 types of cultured stem cells interacting in the appropriate environment. It developed in mouse embryos (brain, heart, intestinal tube) that showed incredible development. Scientists who accomplished a miracle were able to keep these embryos alive for 8.5 days.

Goal: Synthetic Human Embryos

This successful research opened new horizons for scientists. The head of the research, Zernicka-Goetz, (Professor in Mammalian Development and Stem Cell Biology in Cambridge’s Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.) says it’s a 10-year effort. And your current goals; She says she wants to produce synthetic human embryos, with the aim of observing the problems experienced during pregnancy and intervening when necessary. He also believes that it will contribute to human tissue and organ repair.
